October 16, 23, and 30, 2019
10:30 am – 12:00 pm

Meet 16 of Jesus’ women disciples in Luke’s gospel and the Acts of the Apostles.

Art sets each scene.  Scripture verses focus the story.  Words reflect on the women’s significance from the beginning and in the spread of Christianity. Questions connect our experience. Conversation enriches all who participate.  Prayer brings these women into our lives today.

COST:  $60.00 for the series, $25.00 per session

Artist Ansgar Holmberg, CSJ, studied with renowned liturgical artist Ade Bethune. Holmberg’s color-saturated works are more reminiscent of folk art than conventional religious images.  Her art arises from her own spiritual journey and life changes.  Her interpretations of themes are not fixed in the manner of icons, but ever changing through time.
