What brings us together? What throws us apart? How do we inhabit what we have in common as well as what makes us unique, in ways that deepen our daily practice of service and compassion?
Beloved poet, teacher, and storyteller Mark Nepo attempts to answer these questions in his new book, More Together than Alone: Discovering the Power and Spirit of Community in Our Lives and in the World. A consummate storyteller who has been called “one of the finest spiritual guides of our time,” Mark will share stories and lessons of community gathered from across cultures and history, with the aim of affirming that, despite the hardships always present, we are more together than alone.
We’ll learn how human beings find each other, work together, and create moments of community that can last an hour, a week, or across generations—and whose impact can be timeless for what they teach us about caring for one another.
Mark will also be at Wisdom Ways on Friday, April 26, for More Together Than Alone: Service and Compassion.
COST: $25.00; a book signing will follow this timely presentation and conversation.
This event will be held at Jeanne D’ Arc Auditorium, St. Catherine University (see more location information below).

Mark Nepo devotes his writing and teaching to the journey of inner transformation and the life of relationship.
