John Main, a twentieth century Benedictine Monk, reintroduced to spiritual seekers the rich Christian tradition of meditation.

Come explore his teachings on meditation as a way of contemplative prayer, the practice of meditation, its roots in the Christian tradition, and its power to compel us beyond our place of prayer to compassionate action in the world.

Includes a meditation time together.

COST:  $20.00

Facilitators:

Deborah Chernick studies the history of Christian contemplative prayer and serves on the board of the Trust for the Meditation Process.

Spiritual director Susan Oeffling, CSJ, has master’s degrees in theology and counseling and spiritual direction training from the Center for Spiritual Guidance.

Both have practiced meditation for many years and have participated in the World Community for Christian Meditation School of Meditation.
