We are part of the 13.8 billion year cosmic story—a mosaic of brilliant fragments. Every night, we are given dreams that serve our own health and wholeness. Illuminations, as it were, into our deepest emerging Self. Jung writes, “The dream is the small hidden door in the deepest and most intimate sanctum of the soul, which opens to that primeval cosmic night.” Our inclination is to want to know the dream’s meaning often by looking outside of our self for understanding. And yet, as Jeremy Taylor teaches us, “Only you the dreamer can say with any certainty what meanings your dreams may hold.”
The intention of this retreat is to support the dreamer’s capacity for entering into a deeper relationship with the images, colors, sounds and stories given to us in our dreams. The interplay of poetry, symbols, focusing, and touch drawing will help us enter this relationship.
Please bring one or two written dreams to explore. All sharing of dreams and insights will be optional.
