The Awareness Continuum

Scott presents what he calls the Awareness V, or Awareness Continuum, as a way for us to think about how our level of Awareness expands and contracts. Using the V shape to represent the “width awareness,” we can think of the bottom of the V as our fear-based, reactive ego state and the top of the V as an expansive, spiritual awareness. This leap from the ego into the inspired state is what the Enneagram invites us into.

Reflection Questions

You are invited to reflect on the following questions:

  • When is your ego most threatened or at stake?
  • How does your reactivity primarily get expressed?

You may use these journal pages as part of this reflection exercise or access the class Facebook group to share your reflections with your classmates.
