Inclusion & Accessibility
Wisdom Ways desires to create authentic, welcoming spaces that advance the spiritual growth, integration and fullness of life for all people. Wisdom Ways believes that an inherent part of that mission is ensuring the equality and inclusion of all persons, mindful of gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, class, disability, immigration status, religious beliefs, age, or any other diverse backgrounds. Acknowledging our purpose as a programming and story-sharing organization, we continually strive to offer a diverse community that features the voices of historically oppressed persons, elevating the shared wisdom of their experiences as a vital element of our mission and society.
An important aspect is accessibility. Committed to the inclusion of all persons, Wisdom Ways acknowledges the societal constructions which restrict and repel persons with disabilities and persons with cultural differences, such as the Deaf community, from attending and participating in on site and online events. Thus, we strive for the inclusion of all persons in our online and in person programming. For questions related to inclusion or to request accommodation, please email dclausnitzer@accolamn.org.
Sliding Scale Fees
Participant fees help cover the cost of the programming we offer. Our “sliding scale” asks each participant to contribute at a level that is proportional to their financial resources.
The sliding scale advances our mission in two ways:
by making spiritual formation accessible to individuals of modest means, and
by ensuring our work remains financially sustainable for many years to come.
This is an honor system. It is up to you to determine the price point that best fits your financial situation.
The following guidelines can help you make this decision:
Tier 1 – This fee tier may be appropriate if your resources are adequate, enabling you to meet basic needs with little left over for non-essential expenses.
Tier 2 – This tier may be appropriate if your resources are comfortable, enabling you to meet basic needs and regularly budget for non-essential expenses.
Tier 3 – This tier may be appropriate if your resources are abundant, enabling you to register at this price point without hardship.
Please note that, out of necessity, a limited number of registration slots are available at the lower fee tiers. If you have the means to register at Tier 2 or Tier 3, please do so.
Scholarships
If you are struggling to meet your basic needs, we value your wellbeing and your presence in the sacred spaces we co-create. We invite you to participate free of charge, as our resources allow. To inquire about scholarships, please contact Haven at hgreen@accolamn.org to register at no cost with support from our Scholarship Fund.
If you believe in the value of the work we do and wish to help Wisdom Ways remove financial hardship as a barrier to spiritual formation, we invite your generosity through a contribution to our Scholarship Fund.
