In this time of pandemics and great social movement, how do we nourish that little seed of hope? What is the practice of hope? How is it an art form? How does the practice of art inform our hope?
In this online class, artist Bob Schmitt will lead three reflective conversations around these questions, inviting us more deeply into a practice of hope. The starting point will be his massive 15′ x 2′ painting of dawn at Mather Point, Grand Canyon. Since March 25, Bob has considered hope from many angles as he developed the piece during the COVID-19 pandemic. Come explore hope in reflected light, hope looking into the abyss, and hope in rebrilliance, while you nurture your practice.
This course will be held via Zoom. See program page for online course expectations and details.
