Tracing Love's Lineage
The mothering of our lives
Thursday, May 10, 7-8:30pm
As we give birth to our own lives, one day at a time, we pause for an evening honoring the lineage of love and those who have been a mothering presence for us, now or long ago.
What gifts have we each received from those who have helped to mother us? What encouragement and care and protection are present in our lives today to support the possibilities still waiting to be born in us? We’ll ponder these questions with poetry and blessing, quiet reflection and words and images gently folded by our own hands.
If possible, bring a photo or any small object that reminds you of your own mother or another person who has been a mothering presence in your life. (Those without an object or picture will still be able to fully participate!)

Facilitator: Karen Hering, Wisdom Ways’ 2012 writer-in-residence, leads programs and retreats that engage writing as a spiritual practice and a tool for social action. A published writer and ordained minister, her written reflections appear in the current and recent Wisdom Ways catalogs.
