Through the Wilderness of Alzheimer's

A Guide in Two Voices: Book discussion

with author Anne Simpson

Wednesday, April 18, 10am-12pm

Millions of Americans have Alzheimer’s disease, a debilitating neurological disorder affecting memory that places great stress on sufferers as well as care givers. This book was written by Bob and Anne Simpson and details their journey into Alzheimer’s. In telling the story of their journey into Alzheimer’s the Simpsons offer families accurate, firsthand information about the disease, as well as support and
practical help for patients and caregivers. Their dramatic story, told from both perspectives, uses journal entries, conversations, letters, and prayers to trace the onset, diagnosis, and treatment of Bob’s condition. All who are trying to find a way through the wilderness of Alzheimer’s will find understanding, compassion, practical advice, and spiritual hope in this story.

Anne's poetry will also be part of the exhibit "I'm Still Here: The Alzheimer's Story," with photography by Laura Crosby. Learn more about the exhibit.
