The Body as a Source of Wisdom

Thursdays, March 5, 12, & 19, 2015, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm

In our everyday lives, we may take our body for granted, seeing it as an object to adorn, or to perform to our expectations.  What if we shift the view, seeing the body as the carrier of memories, and the temple for the spark of the divine within, with the keys to wisdom and transformation?

You are invited, in this three-part program, to explore the body as a wise, loving and gentle guide on the spiritual journey, a journey of self-discovery.  Breath, imagery, music and other simple tools will help you listen to the body, beginning to develop a meaningful relationship with it and, through it, your True Self.  Curiosity and intent are key in this process.

True self-care is part of the spiritual journey, and broadens the approach to health and well-being.  Using your body’s wisdom as the guide, you will discover ways to live more in the present, more embodied, and more whole.

Facilitator:

Margaret McRaith, MA, PT, has studied the science of the body (outer landscape) for over 40 years in her physical therapy practice, and the science of the soul or spirit (inner landscape) through transpersonal psychology (psychosynthesis) and energy medicine (esoteric healing) based ancient wisdom teachings. She weaves these seemingly separate paradigms together in her practice and programs.
