Taking Another Way Home: Epiphany on the Labyrinth

Wednesday, January 6, 2016

Labyrinth Walk: Available from 12:00 pm on

Program: 6:30 - 8:30 pm

Epiphany, the meeting of the wise men with Jesus, is celebrated on January 6. After spending time in Jesus’ home, “The Magi left for their own country by another road.”

Walking the labyrinth, we will open ourselves to the meanings of the Epiphany story, allowing our prayer to help us as we seek the wisdom we long for, to share of our gifts with the Holy One, and move towards the “home” of our lives, perhaps using a new route. Through image, reflection, ritual, encounter, and movement, we will welcome our own epiphanies along the way.

The labyrinth will be open for walking all day; you are welcome to come celebrate Epiphany at a time that is convenient for you. The program begins at 6:30 pm and concludes at 8:30 pm. The needs of those who would like to experience the labyrinth for the first time as well as seasoned labyrinth walkers will be incorporated.

The Rev. Jill Geoffrion, PhD has been walking and praying the labyrinth for twenty years. She has written extensively on labyrinth experience and history, leads labyrinth walks around the globe, and installs labyrinths on four continents, especially in places of great suffering. Jill always focuses on helping participants discover the most meaningful ways to use labyrinths for their particular needs.
