Luke’s gospel tells more stories about women than the other gospels, but women’s place in Luke and Acts warrants a suspicious feminist eye. What place do women have in the early Christian communities? What about the women who labor with Paul as coworkers, deacons, and apostles in his missionary world? The Heart of the Matter: Seeing the Inner Face of Evolution, Spring 2015 Hedgerow

Expanding the divine through science was at the heart of the Spring 2015 Hedgerow sessions. Through reflection, reading, writing, group discussion and ritual, participants joined Teilhard de Chardin in recognizing and reflecting on the mystic experience in their own lives. “…I have experienced it through contact with Earth,” says Teilhard, “the Divine radiating from the depths of a blazing Matter: This is what I shall try to disclose and communicate.”

Tuesday Evening Meditation

Tuesday, September 6 – December 20, 2016, 7:00 – 7:40 pm
During these times of prayer, we will sit in silent meditation with others. Meditating together is a way of deepening and supporting our personal practice. The weekly sessions include a short reading and one 25-minute meditation. Following meditation, there will an optional short introduction to Christian Meditation for those new to this form of prayer. Come as often as you are able.
