Make of Yourself a Light:
Shining Forth from the Great Radiance
Tuesdays, November 8, 22, 29, and
December 6, 6:30-9pm
As we await the festivals of Winter Solstice, Hanukkah and Christmas, each celebrating the light’s return, we will explore the meaning of the original, life-giving Flaring Forth of the Universe. We will investigate the evolutionary process embedded in the Universe and in all of us, rediscovering the divine revelation in creation and new understandings of our intimate relationship with each other and everything. Through conversation, practices and ritual we’ll name our “multiple belongings” as humans and explore the nature of our evolutionary spirituality. In the face of great change, the creative power of the Great Radiance moves us from fear to trust and from crisis to planetary healing through our own personal transformation.
Asking the BIG Question - Tuesday, November 8
What do we know about where and what we come from and where we are going? How is our daily life intimately connected to the larger Universe? What are the images, beliefs and language of religion or spirituality that no longer serve you? How might you let go to move into “new frames”?
Co-Creating with Divine Life - Tuesday, November 22
How is the Universe and all of Creation continually conspiring to create a future where life flourishes? How might we cooperate? Could our restlessness, human frailty, pain and death be a necessary part of that emergence? How is our own personal transformation of consciousness and spirit essential now?
Rejoicing in Life - Tuesday, November 29
How do you experience your oneness with the sacred or the Greater Mystery? How might we more deeply enjoy the rapture of being alive? What ordinary and creative practices can move us into that awareness and experience?
Acting for Life - Tuesday, December 6
What does it take for a revolution in our collective consciousness, an expansion of our moral sense and greater planetary compassion to emerge? How can I speak and act from that consciousness in a way that is inclusive and non-polarizing? What difference does all of this make?
