Border CrosSing integrates historically segregated audiences and musicians by creating a landscape where singers and audiences more closely reflect the racial and cultural composition of the Twin Cities.

 

Fall 2017 Schedule

September 16: Latin America: A Miracle of Faith
Latin American sacred music from different periods and styles tells the complex story of faith, colonial oppression and social uprisings in Latin America.

October 27: Song for the Dead and the Living
Explore the historical basis of the Day of the Dead and parallels between Latin American and European perspectives on death, grieving, and nostalgia.

December 15: El Mesías
In collaboration with the Minnesota Chorale, a bilingual version of Handel’s Messiah with music by Ignacio de Jerusalem and Manuel de Sumaya.
